This set features a Proof quintuple-sovereign (five-pound coin), double-sovereign (two-pound coin), sovereign and half-sovereign.
These proofs have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own booklet/Certificate of Authenticity. Depending on the year of release, the Sovereigns are packaged in a good looking light-red or green leather case. These four sovereigns contain the classic design by Benedetto Pistrucci, with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
The years currently in stock are as follows: 1980, 1985, 1990, 1991. If you do not specify a year, one will be chosen for you.
