This Royal Mint box-set features a single gold Proof Sovereign coin and makes an ideal gift for a christening or Birthday.

This coin weighs the same as a regular (or Bullion) Sovereign, at 7.98grams and 22-carat gold (91.67% fineness). This proof has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. Complete with its own booklet/Certificate of Authenticity. This Gold Sovereign is bound in a good looking case.
