King Charles II silver Crown - dated 1677. Ruling from 1660-1685, the "Merry Monarch", Charles II was restored to the throne of England after the austere years of Oliver Cromwell. His adventures are well documented, and many movies have been made about his flight into exile after the execution of his father, Charles I.
