A rare and collectable silver crown of George the Third dated 1818 with large laureate head facing right and George and the Dragon on the reverse. Both sides of the coin contain 'Pistrucci' the name of the designer. Although George III reigned for sixty years from 1760, this is is the first year of his reign in which crowns were issued, three years before he died.

Also note that the edge inscription of 'DECUS ET TUTAMEN. ANNO REGNI LVIII' (An Ornament and a Safeguard. Year of Reign 58) contains a rare die variation where the A of TUTAMEN is unbarred and appears as 'Λ'.
