A rare silver Crown of Queen Victoria, dated 1889. The first crown design of Victoria used the Young Head portrait, with her ponytail, and only was issued for three years, 1844, 1845 and 1847. This later variant of the Crown was struck between 1887 and 1892, and is considered the most attractive and distinctive Crown, featuring the Jubilee Head. The silver Crown is sometimes confused with the Sovereign, due to the reverse featuring the classic design.

Victoria Jubilee Head.

St George and Dragon.
