Description

A very collectable, high grade, milled silver Crown of Queen Victoria, dated 1890 in about fine condition. This silver Crown features Queen Victoria's "Jubilee head" bust facing left on the obverse. The reverse shows the famous St George slaying the Dragon, designed by Benedetto Pistrucci.

Obverse
"Jubilee bust", veiled and draped, of Queen Victoria. "JEB" on truncation. VICTORIA D:G:BRITT:REG:F:D:.

Reverse
St George on horseback slaying Dragon, with hair streaming beneath his helmet. Initials B.P at base for the engraver Benedetto Pistrucci. Date in exergue 1890.
