Description

A very collectable silver Milled Crown of Queen Victoria. Dated 1894 in bright uncirculated condition. This Silver Crown features Queen Victoria's Old Veiled bust, facing left. On the obverse is the famous St George slaying the Dragon, designed by Benedetto Pistrucci. The edge of this coin is inscribed with the regnal date of LVII. These popular large Queen Victoria Silver crowns where the last major public issue and have proved strong favourites with collectors especially with the regal year inscribed edge variations.

Reverse
St George on horseback slaying Dragon with hair streaming beneath his helmet with initials B.P. for the engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, and date in exergue 1894. Edge inscribed LVII.
