A very collectable, high grade, milled silver Crown of Queen Victoria. Dated 1898 in good, fine condition. This silver Crown features Queen Victoria's "Old", Veiled bust facing left on the obverse, and the famous St George slaying the Dragon, designed by Benedetto Pistrucci on the reverse. The edge of this coin is inscribed with the regnal date.
Obverse
"Old" veiled bust of Queen Victoria facing left, wearing star and necklace. Initials T.B. below for Thomas Brock. VICTORIA.DEI.GRA.BRITT.REGINA.FID.DEF.IND.IMP.
Reverse
St George on horseback slaying the Dragon, with hair streaming beneath his helmet. Initials B.P. for the engraver Benedetto Pistrucci, and date in exergue 1900. Edge inscribed.
