A gold 2 pound (Double Sovereign) coin of King George IV, dated 1823. This coin was technically only struck for one year, with only proof versions available for the next three years. Bearing the head of George the fourth, with the classic George and Dragon reverse, it is a rare type of coin needed by all gold £2 collectors. We recommend you study the pictures of the coin before making a purchase, as there are traces of the coin having been placed in a mount.
