A collectable high grade Silver Fourpence (aka Groat) of King Henry the Sixth. This is of the first issue known as "Annulet" dating 1422-30. Typically small circles called "annulets" are seen either side of the neck and on the reverse of the coin.
The coin has the mint mark of a Pierced Cross indicating the year 1422-7. The lettering on the reverse confirms it was stuck at the Calais mint in France. This high grade, even toned coin has a weak striking in areas, often common on larger coins and not due to wear.
