A Collectable, high grade hammered Silver Groat of King Edward IV from his Second reign of 1471-83. The coin features the mint mark of "Pierced Cross 2" showing that it was struck between the years of 1477 and 1480. The reverse shows CIVITAS LONDON indicating the City of London, being struck at the Tower hill mint at the same time as William Caxton set up the first printing press, also in London.

Crowned bust facing. Fleurs on cusps. No marks on breast. Mm Pierced Cross 2 EDWARD DI GRA REX ANGL Z FRANC.
