A collectable Silver Milled Groat (fourpence) of King William and Queen Mary dated 1689. On the obverse the conjoined busts of both William and Mary. The reverse features a crown over the number "4". This coin was struck when William of Orange was invited to Britain replace King James the second and rule jointly with Mary (the daughter of King James the Second).

Minor surface scratches to number four with flan crack below. Hardly deters a fascinating coin.

First crude style conjoined busts facing right. Variation "VG" below bust. GVLIELMVS.ET.MARIA.D.G

Date above small crown above numeral "4" in legend. .MAG.BR.FR.ET.HIB.REX.ET.REGINA.
