A collectable, and rare hammered gold Double Crown of King Charles I, with the mint mark of "Blackamoor's Head" clearly shown on both sides, indicating it was struck in the year 1626 or 1627 at the Tower mint, some of the first coins issued under King Charles. The obverse features the second crowned bust facing left with "X" behind representing 10 shillings. The reverse shows the crowned square-topped shield of royal arms. This rare hammered gold Double-Crown in about fine condition would make a great addition to any numismatic collection.
