A very collectable, hammered gold Noble of King Edward III, struck between the years 1356 and 1361 at the famous Tower Mint in London.

The obverse features the King standing on ship at sea, holding sword in hand and a shield of Royal Arms. The reverse shows an ornate cross with crowns over lions in the angles.

This coin is in extremely fine grade, and has stunning 'eye' appeal, making it an excellent addition to any numismatic collection. First introduced during the reign of Edward at a value of 6s. 8d (approximately 35 pence). This is an impressive fine coin and represents an important phase in the history of Britain.
