This 1715 gold Guinea features Conjoined Busts of William and Mary on the obverse along with the text GEORGIVS D G MAG BR FR ET HIB REX F D (George I by the Grace of God, King of Great Britain, France and Ireland, Defender of the Faith) and a Crowned Shield of Arms, Lion of Nassau at the centre on the reverse, with the wording BRVN ET L DVX S R I A TH ET EL (Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg, Arch Treasurer and Prince Elector). The actual coin is pictured and has light mount marks to the edge.
