A collectable-grade silver Half-Crown of King William and Mary, dated 1689. This coin features the conjoined busts of King William and Mary facing right. The reverse has the crowned square shield of the four nations; with each quarter representing, England, Scotland, France and Ireland. This popular series with collectors is one of the the only British coin to have conjoined busts. William of Orange was invited to Britain to replace James II, and rule jointly with Mary (the daughter of James II). This coin is of good even dark tone, and is in around good fine condition with even grey toning.
