Description

A collectable grade milled, silver Half Crown dated 1825 of King George IV. This coin features the laureate head facing left. The reverse has a crowned shield in garter. King George the Fourth was notable for granting political rights to the Catholics, and when this coin was struck in 1825, Trade Unions were legalised, and the world's first railway is opened between Stockton and Darlington.
