A 1694, copper Halfpenny, from the reign of William and Mary.

1694 was the first year for the release of the Halfpenny coin made using English copper, making this an historic purchase.  The coins were previously made using imported copper and earlier still, they were made of tin, which resulted in extreme corrosion.

This version features the conjoined images of William and Mary on the obverse, and an image of Britannia seated, holding an olive branch and spear along with a shield mixed with the crosses of Saint George and St Andrew on the reverse.

You will receive the actual coin pictured.
