BullionByPost is proud to offer numismatic collectors a growing range of rare collectable coins, including this hammered Gold Charles I Unite, in near-very-fine condition.  This gold coin features the first Bust of Charles I in Coronation Robes wearing a high double arched Crown on the obverse and a crowned squared topped Shield with Elaborate garnishing on the reverse. Mintmark Plume, struck between 1630-31.

Please Note: You will receive the actual coin pictured.  For a more detailed view please hover your cursor over the image.  Possible trace of a mount.

Charles the First coinage is always exciting in design but the gold hammered pieces are really quite spectacular. Especially these large hammered pieces with such a distinctive portrait of the head of the King which he was soon to lose.  This coin is a Tower Mint issue - he was the only English Monarch to be executed.

A very rare coin, in near very fine condition.
