A very collectable Silver Maundy set of four number coins the Fourpence, Threepence, Twopence and Penny issued by King George the Third dated 1800. The obverse features the older laureate and draped bust facing right. The reverse shows a crown over the denomination value with the date below. Maundy money was a religious service held by the Church of England on 'Maundy Tuesday' the day before good Friday, by the reigning monarch handing out these sets of coins in aid of the aged or poor.
