A very collectable Silver Maundy set of four number coins the Fourpence, Threepence, Twopence and Penny issued by King George the Fourth dated 1827. The obverses features the laureate head facing left. The reverses shows a crown over the denomination value with the date split either side. Maundy money was a religious service held by the Church of England on 'Maundy Tuesday' the day before good Friday, by the reigning monarch handing out these sets of coins in aid of the aged or poor.
