A collectable milled silver Shilling of King George the First dated 1723. The obverse features the First laureate draped bust wearing armour, facing right. The reverse shows crowned cruciform shields of Royal arms, representing England and Scotland conjoined, France, Ireland and the new Hanover Arms. The SS and C between the cruciform angles show that this coin was minted by the 'South Sea Company'. This coin has been professionally authenticated and slabbed in a protective case with the professional grading of CGS EF 75.
