A collectable grade Silver Penny of King Edward the First struck at the mint of Durham by Bishop Anthony Bec who was one the knights that fought at the Battle of Falkirk in 1298 at the side of King Edward the first .
These pennies with the facing bust and long cross reverse became the standard design for many years to come. King Edward the First was best remembered for attempting to unite England, Scotland and Wales.
Condition: Very Fine.
