A collectable grade Silver Penny of King Edward the Second. Struck at the mint of Bury St Edmonds in the first part of the 14th century. These pennies, with the facing bust and long cross reverse became the standard design for many years to come.

King Edward the Second was best known for the many difficulties during his reign and the way he was horribly murdered by the orders of his wife.
