Description

A collectable grade silver Shilling of Queen Elizabeth I. Sixth issue, crowned bust facing left, and mintmark "Tun" denoting the year 1592-5. Cross through square shield to the reverse. An attractive grade Shilling from the ex Lord Stewartby collection.

Obverse
Sixth issue Shilling without rose or date, bust 6B crowned facing left. 'Tun' mintmark. ELIZABETH D G ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA.

Reverse
Long cross fourchee through square shield of royal arms. 'Tun' mintmark. POSUI DEU ADIUTOREM MEU.
