A collectable grade, silver Shilling of King George I, dated 1723. The obverse features the first laureate and draped bust facing right. The reverse shows a Crowned cruciform shield of arms with 'S' and 'CC' in alternate angles. "SCC" represents the "South Sea Company" who supplied large quantities of silver to the Royal Mint in return for the right to export money overseas. They totally over speculated on this position, causing the company to eventually go bust.

Crowned Cruciform shields of Royal arms with SS and C in alternate angles. English shield of arms to date 1723. BRVNET.DVXS.R.I.A.TH.ET.EL.
