Description

A collectable grade, silver Sixpence of Queen Elizabeth I. Fourth issue with mintmark "Castle", and dated 1570. Intermediate crowned bust, facing left with rose behind, and cross through square shield, with date to the reverse. A nice even tone, and no problems for this grade.

Obverse
Fourth issue, intermediate crowned bust 4B, with rose behind within inner circle. 'Castle' mintmark for year 1570. ELIZABETH D G ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA.

Reverse
Long cross fourchee through square shield of royal arms, with date above 1570. 'Castle' mintmark. POSUI DEU ADIUTOREM MEU.
