Description

A collectable Silver Threepence of Queen Elizabeth the First, with the mintmark "Eglantine" to both sides, indicating the date 1575 for the 3/4th issue series, with the square shield and date above to the reverse.

The coinage of this historically important Tudor monarch went through many changes, creating a fascinating period to collect. This even toned threepence is a little "grainy" under magnification with good bust details.

Condition: Good Fine.

Obverse: Taller bust with ear showing of Elizabeth I facing left, with rose behind. mintmark "Eglantine" for 1575 ELIZABETH D G ANG FRA ET HIB REGINA
