BullionByPost is proud to offer numismatic collectors a growing range of rare collectable coins, including this milled Silver Dollar from 1804, in very-fine condition.  This 1804 George III Bank of England Silver Dollar features the Laurel Bust on the obverse and a Britannia Seat and Crowned Oval on the reverse.

The actual product you will receive is pictured - point on the images to zoom.

This is a most unusual coin for Britain and of course now very scarce. Issued in the reign of George III they were re-struck from the captured Spanish American 8 reales because of the shortage of silver. Sometimes you can see the original coins through the striking. Dated 1804 it had a value of five shillings.  However, although issued at 5 Shilling, it was revalued in 1811 to 5s,6d until being withdrawn in 1817.  Stuck at the Soho Mint in Handsworth, Birmingham.
