Description

A gold Double Guinea coin of King George II, dated 1739. The obverse features the young laureate head facing left, with the repositioned legend. The reverse is high-grade, being protected by the circular mount of 9ct gold. The mount appears gold soldered around its entire edge and requires professional removal. The reasonable price reflects this required procedure.
