A collectable grade hammered Silver Half Groat of King Henry the Sixth. This coin features the mint mark "Plain Cross" showing the date 1422-3. The coin was struck during the "Annulet issue" of 1422-30 - easily identified by "Annulets" (small circles) appearing on both sides of the coin. The reverse has the long cross with pellets to the centre, and the wording indicates the coin was struck at the Calais mint in France. Even-toned with excellent bold face details, a fine addition to any collection.

Crowned facing bust in treasure of arches. Annulets by neck. HENRICS DI GRA REX ANGLI F.

Long cross Patte'e dividing the legend, three pellets in each quarter, Annulets in two quarters. POSVI DEVM ADVITORE MEUM VILLA CALISIE.
