A collectable grade, hammered silver Half Groat of King Henry VI. This coin was struck during the "Rosette-mascle issue" of 1430 to 1431. Easily identified by a "Rose" and "mascle" (leaf shape) appearing on both sides of the coin. The reverse has the long cross with pellets to the centre, and the wording indicates being struck at the Calais mint in France. Even-toned, with excellent bold face details. Minor historic edge clipping, which is common for the time, and two small edge nicks left of the crown, otherwise a bold coin.

Rosette-Mascle issue 1430-1, crowned bust within treasure, with fleurs at cusps.

Long cross and pellets with rose and mascle in two quarters VIL LA CALI SIE Calais mint.
