A collectable grade, silver Halfcrown of King William and Mary, dated 1689. This coin features the conjoined busts facing right of King William and Queen Mary. The reverse has the crowned square shield of the four nations, with each quarter representing, England, Scotland, France and Ireland. This popular series with collectors is the only British coin to have conjoined busts. William of Orange was invited to Britain to replace James II, and rule jointly with Mary (the daughter of James II). Coin of good even tone, with minor damage to the "6" and "8" of the date. Obverse busts have much eye appeal.
