Description

A collectable grade, Silver Halfcrown of King William and Mary, dated 1693. This coin features the conjoined busts facing right, of King William and Mary. The reverse has the Crowned shields representing, England, Scotland, France and Ireland with "WM" monograms in the angles. The date is displayed around the centre with an inverted " 3". This popular series with collectors is the only British coin to have conjoined busts, making it an excellent addition to any collection. William of Orange was invited to Britain to replace James II and rule jointly with Mary (the daughter of James II). Coin of good, even dark tone.
