A rare, collectable milled silver Halfcrown of King George the First dated 1715. The obverse features the First laureate draped bust wearing armour, facing right. The reverse shows crowned cruciform shields of Royal arms, with roses and plumes in the angles, representing England and Scotland conjoined, France, Ireland and the new Hanover Arms. The regnal year inscribed on the edge in words SECVNDO. This coin in around very fine condition and even light grey tone would make an excellent addition to any numismatic collection.

First laureate and draped bust, wearing armour facing right. Regnal year on edge in words. GEORGIVS.D.G.M.B.BR.FR.ET.HIB.REX.F.D.
Reverse
Small crowns above cruciform of shields of Royal arms, centre garter star with roses and plumes in the angles. Date above. BVRN ET.L.DVX S.R.I.A.TH ET.EL.
