Description

This 1989 gold Sovereign was issued as a very special and collectible anniversary coin to mark 500 years of the Sovereign.

The design, by Bernard Sindall, shows Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side, sat on the throne in a style mimicking that of Elizabeth I. The reverse is very similar to the original English Sovereigns too, with the Royal Arms overlaid on a double Tudor rose with a crown above. This PF69 1989 Proof Sovereign is a great opportunity for a collector to secure one of these coins at a high grade.

Graded to: PF69 FDC (Fleur de Coin). A fully struck coin with nearly imperceptible imperfections.
