A rare, and collectable gold Sword and Sceptre piece of James the Sixth of Scotland dated 1602 and with a value of 60 shillings from the eighth coinage issue. The obverse features the crowned Scottish shield of arms and the obverse shows crossed sword and sceptre with a crown above and two thistles either side.

This attractive stylish looking coin in very fine condition was struck just before King James the First's accession to the English throne.
