A gold Double Guinea coin of King George II, dated 1739. The obverse features the young laureate head facing left, with the repositioned legend, while the reverse features the crowned shield of the Royal arms. George II was born October 30th, 1683 and was raised in Hanover, Germany. Two Guineas were struck between 1733-53, but not for every year. These 2 guineas are rare coins and will delight any gold coin collector.
