BullionByPost is proud to offer numismatic collectors a growing range of rare collectable coins, including this hammered Silver Shilling of Elizabeth I 1558-1603, in near-fine condition. This Silver Shilling features a Crowned Bust of Elizabeth I on the obverse and a Crossed Shield on the reverse. Shillings were struck in either 0.916 or 0.925 silver. There are a large number of different busts with very small changes. The actual product you will receive is pictured - point on the images to zoom.

Just think, your coin could have travelled on one of those victorious ships, in the pocket of one of the seamen firing his guns and sinking the ships of the Spanish Armada.

Many of these Elizabethan coins have become quite scarce now as more and more collectors realise how important they are as a coin from Tudor Britain almost 400 years ago.
