BullionByPost is proud to offer numismatic collectors a growing range of rare collectable coins, including this milled Silver Crown of William III 1696, in fine condition.

Crowns were minted at 92.5% fineness aka Sterling Silver, though due to the age of the coins and the practice of shaving a fraction off bullion coins there's no guarantee of the exact fineness of the coin's metal.

This Silver Crown features the portrait of William III on the obverse and crowned coat of arms on the reverse. The actual product you will receive is pictured - hover over the images to zoom in.

In 1694, following the death of his wife Mary, William of Orange became the sole monarch and the King of England. With the circulating currency in poor condition, he authorised a complete re-coinage which included these historic crowns.
