The 2023 Dumbledore silver proof fifty pence coin from The Royal Mint's Harry Potter series. This series celebrates the 25th Anniversary of the publication of the first book. This is the third design in a four coin series, and the final two coins in the series feature King Charles III on the coin's obverse.
The Harry Potter book series has sold over 500 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling book series of all time. The first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was written by J.K. Rowling and published by Bloomsbury in 1997.
The reverse of the coin features the wise and powerful headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Albus Dumbledore. As one of the most beloved characters in the Harry Potter series, Dumbledore is sure to delight fans of all ages.
