Quarter Ounce Britannia Gold Coins
Quarter ounce Britannia gold coins have been in production since 1987 as part of the Britannia bullion coin range. Initially a 22 carat coin they were updated in 2013 to 24 carat (999.9 fineness) gold. The quarter ounce Britannia coin contains 7.775 grams of gold, and is a firm favourite among investors looking for more flexibility in their portfolio, or those on a smaller budget.
With a face value of £25, all 1/4oz gold Britannia's are exempt from CGT, and VAT-free, making them an excellent choice for investors.
