This product is supplied as 'coin only' in a plastic capsule. There is no box or certificate.

1994 Half Sovereigns were issued only in proof form - 5,000 were issued. This proof has been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity.

Gold Half Sovereigns are very attractive to UK investors; due to their status as British Legal tender, they are exempt from capital gains tax (CGT).
