1977 Isle of Man Gold Proof Sovereign Four Coin Set Boxed

This Pobjoy set features an Isle of Man Proof quintuple-sovereign (five-pound coin), double-sovereign (two-pound coin), sovereign and half-sovereign absolutely mint and still sealed airtight in plastic, presented in a red velvet box. Limited to 1250 sets.

These proofs have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity.
