This chart shows the 20-year price of platinum in pound sterling, quoted in grams. In 2001 a gram of platinum cost just £9.21, but saw huge growth during the financial crash, as well as increasing demand from the automotive industry. Despite a small drop following the slight recovery of global economies, a gram of platinum at the time of writing would still cost £24.25.
