Austrian Silver Philharmonic Coins
The silver Philharmonic was first struck by the Austrian Mint in 2008, nearly twenty years after the gold coin, and has become the best selling silver bullion coin in Europe. It takes its name and its design from the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
The reverse shows the Great Organ of the Musikverein's Golden Hall, the obverse a group of orchestral instruments: horn, bassoon, harp, violins and cello. It is legal tender in Austria and the only European bullion coin denominated in euros, which is part of why it is so widely traded across the continent.

The silver Philharmonic is an Austrian silver coin struck by the Austrian Mint in 999 fine silver. The design has been unchanged since the coin was introduced, and the same artwork appears on the gold Philharmonic.
