Cuban Gold Coin History
Cuba’s coinage has been produced in several different countries. From 1897 until 1961 the US produced Cuba’s coins in Philadelphia. In more recent years this has moved to Canada. The Banco Central de Cuba has been reorganised and re-established multiple times over the years and is responsible for the issuing of Cuban coins, though as noted above production tends to be outsourced.
