Guardian Angel - Second Republic

Below is our selection of Second Republic Guardian Angel Francs. A short-lived period in French history, it took place between 1848 and 1851. These 20 Franc gold coins are known as Guardian Angels due to the unique design featuring an angel writing the French constitution. As with many coins in Europe at this time they are struck in 900 fineness.
