Gold Half Sovereigns - Perth
The Perth Mint is a well known name in gold bullion production, and its origins came in the early 20th century as a franchise of the Royal Mint. Australia's gold rush meant that production and demand were high, and the three plants in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth helped keep the British Empire supplied with vital currency.
Half Sovereigns struck at the Perth Mint feature a small letter 'P' above the date to show where they were struck.
