Half Sovereigns
The Half Sovereign was originally produced between 1544 and 1604 as an English coin, before being brought back in 1817 under King George. The coins are still produced in bullion and proof forms today, but at BullionByPost we have many circulated editions from the past.
A Half Sovereign was worth 10 Shillings, which equates to 2 Crowns or half of a Pound. The coins weigh approximately 3.99 grams and is 22 carat gold. Click here for our modern Gold Half Sovereigns in stock and available today.
